Appointments are available throughout normal business hours and after hours on most weekdays.

We are keen to provide you with multiple ways to get in contact with us to discuss your issue, respecting personal preferences wherever possible. Appointments can be made by contacting us by phoning, leaving a voicemail, texting, emailing – [email protected] or via the handy “contact us” enquiry form – See contact details on the “contact us” tab. We endeavour to return an answer to your enquiry in a prompt fashion but it may often only be practical between sessions or after business hours.


We generally prefer to talk to the person attending the session on the phone, before securing an appointment with a Psychologist or Counselor, so although third party bookings (for e.g. mums making bookings for kids or wives making bookings for husbands) are allowed, we do not secure a booking before we have had direct contact with the person attending the session.

To secure a booking with this practice we take a $40 non-refundable deposit (via a suitable Card over the phone) which will be will then be taken off the first session fee.


Fees for Counselling services at this practice are:

  • With our Psychologist – Per standard session:
    • $225 for individuals
    • $245 for couples
    • $235 for third-party funded sessions (excluding standard rates applicable to insurance agencies   and other relevant funding institutions, e.g. Workcover QLD)
    • $370 for business / leadership coaching
  • The duration of a standard session is 50 minutes

Payment for these services is to be made at the time of the consultation, payable via EFTPOS (Diners Club and American Express are not accepted). Cash payments and electronic funds transfers will only be accepted by prior arrangement with the practice. During the intake process, clients are required to sign a Card Payment Authority, which will be kept securely on your file, authorising the practice to process payments when entitled to do so.


If you are unable to keep an appointment, we require at least 24 hours (one business day) notice to allow the appointment time to be otherwise utilised. Business hours for these purposes are from Monday to Friday of any given week. Note: Saturdays and Sundays are excluded as business days. Cancellations without sufficient notice, for e.g. made on the same day, will be charged for at the standard hourly rate.


Medicare rebates:
These are available for our Psychological services when referred to us by a General Practitioner (or other other authorised professions) under a Mental Health Care Plan. Currently the rebate is $93.35 for a standard session of 50 minutes. Once we receive a Mental Health Care Plan in the acceptable format and with the correct information provided, we load this onto our system and process rebates electronically via Medicare generally soon after (but within 24hrs of) the consultation. Medicare then electronically transfers the rebates directly into your nominated account with them.

Private Medical Health funds:
Many Private Medical Health funds offer rebates for counselling. It is advisable to contact your own fund to find out how much it contributes per counselling session and how many sessions you are eligible for. Invoices for Private Medical Health funds can be produced on request and rebates can be claimed back from your fund, either in person or via their online methods. This practice does not process health fund rebates on site.
